Privacy policy What the public site and guided forms handle
You can browse the public site and use the guided forms without creating an account. The guided form service temporarily processes the answers needed to prepare your documents.
The two parts of the service
formapauperis.com is the public information site. It publishes court-form guidance, court rules, and public-record links. It has no account, sign-in, or form that asks for your personal information.
in.formapauperis.com is the guided form service. It asks for the information required by the court form you choose and uses those answers to prepare documents for you.
Public-site request data
Like most websites, the hosting and security systems must process request data when your browser asks for a page. That can include your IP address, browser information, requested page, and request time. Cloudflare sits in front of the service for delivery and security, so it also processes requests under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
The public pages do not ask you to create a profile or submit case details. Links to courts and other organizations take you to services with their own privacy practices.
The public site can remember your light or dark appearance preference in your browser’s local storage. Rule searches run on the page and are not sent to a server or saved by the search feature. Clearing this site’s browser storage removes the appearance preference.
Guided-form answers and cookies
Your answers are stored in an encrypted session while you work. The key used to unlock them is kept in a cookie on your device. After 30 minutes of inactivity, the session and any generated PDF are deleted.
A random identifier cookie named ds can remain between visits. It is not your name. You can remove it by clearing cookies, and a private or incognito window normally removes it when the window closes.
The guided form’s server records an interview request as /interview, without the chosen form in that path, and records the filename when a blank PDF is downloaded. Its application logs do not record the visitor’s IP address and are kept for about one week. Cloudflare can still see the IP address and requested page as described above.
For the full explanation, including device history and downloaded files, read How this works & your privacy on the guided form service.
If you email the publisher, the message supplies your email address and anything you include in the message or attachments. That information is used to respond, fix problems, and operate the service. It may remain in the mail system until it is deleted through ordinary mailbox maintenance.
Do not email completed court forms, Social Security numbers, financial records, or other sensitive case documents. Email is not a secure filing channel, and Forma Pauperis does not file anything with a court.
